Microneedling and Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
What is Microneedling and PRP?
Microneedling – also known as collagen induction therapy – is the latest advancement in skin rejuvenation treatment! This is a minimally invasive procedure proven to diminish the signs of aging, improve the appearance of acne scars, and rejuvenate aging skin. PRP is produced in your blood and contains highly concentrated amounts of natural growth factors that promote collagen and elastin growth. PRP is used in conjunction with the Microneedling treatment as it is not a separate procedure.
During the Microneedling treatment, a device known as a skinpen is used to create tiny microscopic punctures in the skin. These small microscopic punctures activate the body’s natural healing process as the skin responds to these punctures by producing more collagen and elastin. The increase of both collagen and elastin result in more youthful and radiant skin. Microneedling when performed with PRP allows the healing process to occur more rapidly because of the addition of natural growth factors.
Microneedling produces beautiful and lasting results with little down time and minimal discomfort. It is recommended that Microneedling treatments be done in a series of three; although this may differ between individuals. Call now and set up a consultation with Dr. Fraga so she can help to determine what treatment plan is best for you! Consultations and treatments may be done in the same day. Consultations only are $100, but you will receive that money back at the time of your first treatment.
